Shipping to the United States
US Duties & Tariffs
Information for customers in the United States
Last updated: August 2, 2026
Shipments to the US are temporarily suspended, effective August 10, 2026.
We do not have a set date for resuming US shipping. We're monitoring the situation closely and will update this page as soon as we know more. If and when we resume, US orders may include a 50% tariff surcharge applied at checkout — see below for why.
All Sniffy Prints products are made in Canada and CUSMA-approved. In 2026, the US government imposed new 50% tariffs on Canadian goods that do not exempt CUSMA-qualifying products — meaning items that should be tariff-free under the agreement may now face this duty at the border. This page explains how we ship to the U.S., what to expect once shipping resumes, and information about duties and customs.
Current Status
- US orders: Not being accepted as of August 10, 2026.
- Resume date: Not yet determined — we're monitoring the situation and will post updates here.
- If shipping resumes: expect a 50% tariff surcharge added at checkout to cover the new duty, on top of standard shipping costs.
What Changed
- Products made in Canada and CUSMA-compliant have historically entered the US duty-free.
- New US tariffs introduced in August 2026 apply a 50% duty to certain Canadian goods, regardless of CUSMA status.
-
This significantly changes the cost of shipping to US customers and the duty-free guarantee we've previously offered
Shipping Method (Once Resumed)
U.S. orders are shipped via Chit Chats, with final delivery by USPS. To ensure proper processing, U.S. shipments are consolidated and sent in batches.
- Dispatch Times: Batches may take slightly longer to leave our facility compared to domestic orders.
- Tracking: Tracked shipments include a Chit Chats/USPS tracking number once scanned at the hub.
Delivery Timeline (Once Resumed)
- Typical Delivery: 8-14 business days from the date the batch leaves our facility.
- Customs Processing: Parcels may be subject to additional review or delays given the current tariff situation.
Duties & Customs
- CUSMA Status: Our products are made in Canada and CUSMA-compliant, but new US tariffs currently apply regardless of CUSMA status. As of August 19, 2026, we can no longer guarantee duty-free entry for US shipments.
- Tariff Surcharge: If we resume shipping, a 50% surcharge will be applied at checkout to cover the new duty.
- Final Authority: U.S. Customs officers make the final determination at the border. In rare cases, parcels may be subject to inspection or additional handling.
- Documentation: We provide accurate invoices and CUSMA documentation to help ensure smooth customs clearance.
